On the 20s day of living it’s time for the rabbits to leave a nesting place. They should also get acquainted with a human being that may be very stressful for them. People should be very tolerant with rabbits, since reaction of these animals may be unpredictable. They may even make you afraid of them by jumping at your face and then on the floor. After that they may run far away.We shouldn’t also open the door of a nesting place while female rabbit is there.
We should exclude sharp movements and noisy sounds from our behavior. We shouldn’t also resemble a hunter. It’s necessary to act in a kind way, calmly talking with the rabbits.
We need a special device for this operation – a small veneer half-box. It’s put in the right corner of a nest. Then we softly catch rabbits with our hands and put them into the box. The rabbits quickly hide in the corners of the box.
Then we put some hay instead of a nesting place. In winter we need to put a rather big amount of hay. Then we turn the box and let the rabbits leave the box. After this we put our construction away and close new “house” of the rabbits. Our job is finished. Next steps are taken by a female rabbit.
Bum’s rush takes place according to “cuckoo” system, regulated by a diary. For example: «Bum’s rush of Maniunia’s kids № 4к — 10 — 7а». It means 10 infant rabbits should leave a nest, situated on 7а tier. Maniunia’s kids are of 4th breeding, which took place after the “cuck”.
A nesting place is cleaned and arranged on the second mini-farm according to zoological technical plan data or is taken to a storehouse.
In the plan of further activities according to “cuckoo” system plan we put № 4к to Maniunia, then we put number 10, if the number of infants remained the same.
In case there is no computer, employee responsible for zoological technical plan composing needs to transfer a line of breeding with number in the main farm’s working scheme.
